Ex-Letran forward eyes PBA

Jonathan Belorio hopes to fulfill his dream of playing in the PBA following a solid collegiate career with the Letran Knights in the NCAA.

The 6-foot-3 forward has signed up for the Aug. 24 PBA Draft at Robinsons Place Ermita in Manila and hopes are high the defensive specialist who developed a decent outside shot in his collegiate career will be chosen early in the draft.

Belorio was part of the Letran team that reached the finals in 2012 and 2013.

Apart from pursuing his long cherished goal to play in the pro league, Belorio also hopes to become the next big player to come out of Zamboanga.

Among the Zamboanga players who have made their mark in the league are Mark Barocca, RR Garcia and Rudy Lingganay.
