Pinoy Pride visits Dubai Sept. 5

THE FILIPINO Channel (TFC), ABS-CBN Sports+Action and ALA Promotions will combine resources to stage “Pinoy Pride XXVII: Duel in Dubai” featuring unbeaten Bacolod-born fighters Genesis “Azukal” Servania and “King” Arthur Villanueva on Sept. 5 at Dubai Trade Center.

Servania, 24-0 with 10 knockouts, will stake his World Boxing Organization intercontinental super bantamweight crown against Mexican Jose “Matador” Cabrera (22-4-2, 10 KOs) while Villanueva (25-0, 14 KOs) will dispute the International Boxing Federation junior bantamweight title with Nicaraguan Henry “El Crespo” Maldonado (19-3, 14 KOs).

The main supporting bout features Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista against Mexican Juan Jose “Piquet” Martinez in a non-title 10-round super featherweight bout.
