MANILA, Philippines — Filipino-American rookie Jordan Clarkson, the 46th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, is now officially a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The 6-foot-5 guard from Missouri was signed by the Lakers Tuesday (Manila time).
The 22-year-old Clarkson made a strong case to make the Lakers roster in the NBA Summer League where he averaged team high 15.8 points, 5.0 rebounds while shooting 42% from long range.
Clarkson was named to the Second Team All-SEC in his only season with the Tigers after starring for Tulsa in his freshman and sophomore years in college.
