Blazers, Altas seek 7th victories

ST. BENILDE and Perpetual Help hope to keep third and fourth spots as they tangle with Lyceum and Letran, respectively, today in the 90th NCAA basketball tournament at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Having surpassed their win total from last season, the Blazers shoot for a third straight victory against the Pirates today.

The Altas shoot for a season sweep of the Knights, who are looking to stretch their winning run to three games. Perpetual escaped past Letran, 85-82, in the first round.

With three teams tied for third to fifth spots and one game separating the No. 6 and No. 7 teams, the double-header could potentially decide which teams make the Final Four.

The Blazers are coming off an 83-76 conquest of the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals last week while the Altas repulsed the Pirates, 65-60, last Saturday. Cedelf P. Tupas
