Gilas PH leads Senegal 49-44 in 3rd Q

SEVILLE, Spain – Using an unforgiving full court press late in the third, the Senegalese were able to chop down what was an imposing 13-point deficit to just five, 49-44, going into the payoff quarter.

The Filipinos lapsed into stretches of indecisiveness in the third frame, and yielded two bursts to the Senegalese as Gilas scored just 12 points in the quarter after shooting 21 in the second.

Scoring for the Philippines has been evenly spread out, with only Andray Blatche shooting in twin digits with 10.
