Yu shines as CKSC scores

Fran Yu turned in a triple-double performance in the Jumbo Plastic Linoleum Cup 2014 as Chiang Kai Shek College streaked to its fourth straight win with a 94-89 win over Adamson at Enderun Colleges gym over the weekend.

The peppery guard tallied 19 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds to become the first player in the league to achieve the feat.

Yu’s triple-double was a fitting sequel to his 29-point explosion in the team’s 104-68 drubbing of Perpetual Help two weeks ago.

The win improved CKSC’s win-loss record to 4-1, second best in the tournament behind Ateneo, which remained unbeaten in five games following a 97-54 rout of Diliman Preparatory School.

Sean Ildefonso, son of two-time PBA MVP Danny Ildefonso, led Ateneo with 21 points aside from grabbing a game-high 15 rebounds as the Eaglets handed the DPS dribblers their third straight defeat in as many outings.
