Coseteng posts twin wins in Yokohama GT

DEFENDING champion Jody Coseteng made a triumphant return as he topped  the two races in the third leg of the 2014 Yokohama Philippine Grand Touring Car Championship Series at Clark International Speedway in Clark, Pampanga.

Coseteng, who missed the first two legs, ruled both the Sprint and GT Main Race of the event that is part of the 2014 BRC motorsports championship season.

Topping the qualifying time trials with 2:08.335, he seized the frontseat and pulled away in the morning’s nine-lap Sprint race, nearly 11 seconds ahead of reigning PTCC champion Carlos Anton of Ethanworxs-R33 Racing Team to clinch the GT 300 crown.

Anton eventually claimed the GT200 title over Joey Pery.

Richmon dela Rosa prevailed in the tight battle for the GT150 plum over Allen Macaraig and Dindo de Jesus while Ivan Diaz bagged the GT100 crown over Edwin Rodriguez.

Pery copped the GT200 title after wresting the lead on the final lap from Anton.
