Valley, W. Wack dispute title
Defending champion Valley and Wack Wack forged a showdown for the 2014 Federation Golf League championship after beating separate opponents in their home turfs over the weekend.
Valley, which captured its first league crown over Alabang last year, hacked out a 6-4 decision over Forest Hills in their home-and-away semifinals to earn a return trip to the finals, its fourth in the last five years.
Returning to action after a two-week break after topping the eliminations, the Antipolo golfers survived a 3-2 scare in their visit to Forest Hills, then repeated the same score at home the next day to boost their title retention bid in the tournament organized by the Federation of Golf Clubs Philippines Inc.

Wack Wack lowered the boom on its rivals from Laguna with a 4-1 decision on the road and then completed the rout with a 3.5-1.5 win at its home course.
Valley and Wack Wack topped the eliminations to earn outright semifinal seats while both Forest Hills and Sta. Elena had to go through tough quarterfinal matchups.
