THE 2014 UFCC 6-Stag Derby series resumes at Smart Araneta Coliseum on Monday with the 35-entry Blue Group kicking off its 8-leg circuit.
The derby follows the blockbuster fights last Sept. 8 featuring cockers belonging to the Red Group.
Hosted by the Ultimate Fighting Cock Championship, in cooperation with Thunderbird Platinum, Thunderbird Bexan XP, Solaire Resort and Casino and Resorts World-Manila, the derby requires weight limits of from 1.70 kilograms to 2.15 kg.
Submission of weights is on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Sept. 8 derby produced five champions with identical scores of 5 points out of a possible 6. They are the entries “Blue Blade Farm RJM” of engineer Sonny Lagon of Thunderbird, “Bohol 6-Stag Sept. 21-I” of Ryan Sigue and Ramon Manzenares, “Diego-Ika” of Eric dela Rosa and Butchoy Olano, and the entries “NU Redhawk” and “NU Liberty” of the triumvirate of Nelson Uy, Art Lopez and Dong Chung.
The Blue Group will stage their second 6-stag derby on Sept. 25 at Pasay Cockpit, while the Red Group will mix it up again on Sept. 29, also at Smart Araneta.
