DEFENDING champion United States will face either France of Serbia in Sunday’s finals of the 2014 Fiba World Cup in Spain.

Solar Entertainment Corporation’s Basketball TV and Solar Sports networks, official broadcasters of the event, will air live the France versus Serbia semifinal today at 4 a.m. on Solar Sports (SkyCable 70, Cignal 55, Destiny 35 and Cablelink 58) and Basketball TV on Sky Cable (Ch. 33) and Cignal (Ch. 54).

Lithuania, which lost to the US in the first semifinal, 96-88, will face the loser of the France-Serbia duel in the battle for third place on Saturday.

No one is really surprised that the Americans have proven to be unstoppable so far in their quest for Naismith Trophy.  Under the tutelage of coach Mike Krzyzewski, Team USA whipped their opponents in the preliminary round by an average of 33 points.
