PETALING JAYA, Selangor—Jay Bayron, the 2012 Asian Development Tour Order of Merit champion, shot a 2-under-par 69 to trail Indian leader Anirban Lahiri by five strokes after the first round of the $412,000 Worldwide Holdings Selangor Masters Thursday.

Antonio Lascuña cooled off after a 33 on the front nine to fire a 70 like Mars Pucay while Angelo Que matched par 71.

Teenager Miguel Tabuena, who lost in a playoff for the Yeangder Tournament Players Championship in Taiwan last week, carded a 73, the same output of Cassius Casas.

Elmer Salvador had a 76 while Carl Santos-Ocampo struggled to a 79.
