/ 03:20 AM September 27, 2014

ADAMSON went full throttle in the last five minutes to score a come-from-behind  84-75 win over University of the Philippines over the weekend and forge a knockout for the last semifinal berth with its victim in the 1st Jumbo Plastic Linoleum Cup 2014 at Enderun Colleges gym in Taguig City.

The Falcons started slow and fell behind by 10 points in the first quarter but produced several spurts in the third to grab the lead and pull away for good. The result wiped out UP’s twice-to-beat edge in the quarterfinal series.

The knockout match is set on Sunday at 10:25 a.m. with the winner facing unbeaten Ateneo in a knockout match on Oct. 4.
