Gators deal Blue Sharks second consecutive loss

VLADIMIR Singh fired a season-high 30 points as the Gators handed the defending champion Blue Sharks their second straight defeat, 82-65, in the Canadian Cup of the 2014 FIBL Season at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City last Sunday.

Singh’s game-long brilliance included a triple that halted the Blue Sharks’ rally late in fourth quarter.

Dinesh Mohnani also had 24 points and nine rebounds, while Sanjeev Gangwani scored 14 points and hauled down 24 rebounds, also a season-high.

Manoj Chandumal paced the Sharks with 27 points while Prashant Dargani scored 12 in the first quarter but was a nonfactor the rest of the game because of a right hand injury.

In the second game, Lavesh Chandnani scored 31 points while Mukesh Mohnani was an assist shy of a triple-double as the Warriors cemented solo second with a 98-68 drubbing of the Kings.
