THE 2014 National Bakbakan 12-Stag Derby is expected to draw 7,000 entries this year.
Last year’s record was a whopping 6,067 entries, said Ricoy Palmares Jr., president of National Federation of Gamefowl Breeders.
Competition began Oct. 7 in Cauayan, Isabela, and will culminate with the grand finals on Dec. 4 at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Meanwhile, Palmares announced two options for breeders who want to join the 2015 Bullang Bullang 10-Bullstag Derby.
First is to join the elimination of Bullang Bullang in November or December. Second, a participant may use his ‘Bakbakan’ entry as the same one for Bullang Bullang, provided he shells out an additional P8,800 entry fee.
