Cagayan beats PLDT in 3 sets behind Maizo
MANILA, Philippines—Cagayan Valley needed only three sets to dispatch PLDT Home Telpad, 25-17, 25-17, 27-25, despite going without any of its foreign reinforcements in the Shakey’s V-League Season 11 Sunday night at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Aiza Maizo, the former University of Santo Tomas star, led the Lady Rising Suns’ all-Filipino crew with 15 points while also getting help from Janine Marciano, who added 13.
The Lady Suns have yet to parade their Thai imports Patcharee Saengmuang and Amporn Hyapha after two games.
