Game 3 between FEU, NU breaks crowd attendance anew
MANILA, Philippines — The deciding Game 3 between National University and Far Eastern University on Wednesday broke the Smart Araneta Coliseum’s crowd attendance anew.
The historic Big Dome drew 25,118 fans, the most in a basketball game.
Article continues after this advertisementAmong those in attendance were former President Fidel V. Ramos, an NU alumnus and ex-players from both teams in RR Garcia, Mac Baracael and Arwind Santos of the Tamaraws and Jonathan Fernandez of the Bulldogs.
Last Wednesday, Game 2 saw 24,896, a record-breaking number then, witness the Bulldogs force a rubber match for the UAAP Season 77 men’s basketball title.
NU, looking to end a 60-year title drought, is up, 30-26, at halftime as of posting time.
