Que just two down with 67
HONG KONG—Angelo Que nailed a 40-foot birdie on the 17th hole to highlight a 3-under-par 67 that lifted him to within two strokes off new leader Marcus Fraser of Australia after the third round of the Hong Kong Open on Saturday.
The Filipino star, a three-time winner on the Asian Tour, finished with four birdies on the back nine for a 32 after a 35 on the front side where he bogeyed twice after a birdie on the third hole at the Hong Kong Golf Club.
With his earlier rounds of 65-69, Que stayed in the title mix at 201 while sharing third place with South Africa’s Jbe Kruger (66) and Englisman Mark Foster (66), who nailed seven birdies on his homeward nine.
