MANILA, Philippines—PBA cager Danny Ildefonso will no longer press charges against a “peeping tom” caught taking photos of him while showering naked at the Meralco Gym in Pasig City, police said.
The two-time PBA Most Valuable Player withdrew his complaint against Anthony Trininad after the 46-year-old dance instructor apologized and promised to delete the photos from his iPod Touch, said Superintendent Abelardo Villacorta, chief of the Eastern Police District (EPD).
On Tuesday, Trinidad was charged with violating the Anti-Photo and Voyeurism Act of 2009.
Investigation showed that Ildefonso, 37, was taking a shower Tuesday after a practice session at the gymnasium when he heard a camera shutter sound.
Sensing there was someone behind the shower curtain, Ildefonso peeked through it and saw Trinidad kneeling while taking pictures of him, an investigator from the EPD Annex told INQUIRER.net.
Ildefonso chased but failed to catch Trinidad, who was later nabbed by security guards, the investigator, who requested anonymity said.
The security personnel brought Trinidad to the police station.
Trinidad was released after Meralco Bolts’ “The Demolition Man” dropped the charges.
