PSL goes to Ilocos; Petron, RC eye No. 2

THE IMPORTS take the spotlight anew today when the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix volleyball hosts an out-of-town match at Sto. Domingo gym in Ilocos Sur.

The PSL takes action to the countryside where it’s business as usual for Petron and RC Cola-Air Force, both of which will gun for second wins in the tournament.

Petron battles Mane ‘N Tail while RC Cola Air Force takes on Generika in a doubleheader that kicks off at 4 p.m.

Crowd-drawers Erica Adachi and Alaina Bergsma will power the Blaze Spikers of Petron after combining in a 26-24, 25-18, 23-25, 25-23 victory over Generika in the inaugurals last week.

Mane ’N Tail, which dropped a 15-25, 25-22, 19-25, 24-26 setback to Cignal, will be led by equally potent reinforcement in Kristy Jaeckel and Kaylee Manns.

Bonita Wise and Emily Brown will banner the Raiders of RC Cola along with Iari Yongco, Maika Ortiz and Rhea Dimaculangan.

Generika will lean on Natalia Kurobkova of Russia and Miyuu Shinohara of Japan.

Meanwhile, the players conducted a clinic for 100 elementary and high school students at University of Northern Philippines.
