Petron notches 2nd Liga GP win
ERICA Adachi helped set in motion Petron’s free-flowing offense as it rolled over Mane ’N Tail, 21-25, 25-16, 25-21, 29-27, last night to register its second win in the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix presented by Asics at Sto. Domingo Coliseum in Ilocos Sur.
Adachi provided 53 excellent sets while also scoring eight points for the Blaze Spikers, who managed to recover from a sluggish opening set and move up to 2-0 in a tie with idle Cignal HD.

The Lady Stallions, despite the explosive game of import Kristy Jaeckel, suffered their second straight defeat. Jaeckel accounted for 37 points to tie the league record output by Petron’s Santiago last conference.
“We went to Dindin down the stretch,” said Petron coach George Pascua of his ward who also had three blocks. Santiago scored twice to break a 26-all standoff and derail Mane ’N Tail’s last-ditch stand in the fourth.
