PH bets way off Macau Open leader Hend

MACAU—Elmer Salvador took over as top Filipino bet in the $900,000 Venetian Macau Open, carding a 71 for 211 to trail Australian frontrunner Scott Hend by 12 strokes after three rounds Saturday. Antonio Lascuña had a 70 for 212 while Angelo Que scored a 71 and was a stroke behind at 213 like Jay Bayron, who was the best PH player for two rounds with a 68-71 before struggling with a 74.  Meanwhile, Juvic Pagunsan, with rounds of 73-70-72, was among the tailenders in the Bridgestone Open in Chiba, Japan.    Asian Tour News
