SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga—Berkeley School and Holy Angel University dealt International School for Better Beginnings twin heartaches when they captured the two championships at stake in the Milo-sponsored BEST Center SBP-Passerelle Luzon Regional finals at Assumption College gymnasium here recently.
Berkeley School subdued the ISBB five, 50-40, to claim the Small Basketeers Philippines (SBP) title in the first of two title matches watched by the event’s special guest, Rain or Shine coach and Pampanga Rep. Yeng Guiao.
Holy Angel then routed another ISBB squad, 70-62, for the Passerelle crown later in the day.
Don Bosco Academy blasted Urdaneta 1 Central School, 58-39, for third place in the SBP division while St. Louis University-LHS smothered Urdaneta City National High School, 114-73, for third place in the Passerelle class of the popular nationwide tournament for young cagers.
