Cabrera bags 5th overall plum

Gabriel Tayao-Cabrera displayed determination and consistency in outlasting Bobby Domingo to stretch his winning streak to five in the fifth leg of the 2014 Petron Blaze 100 ROK Cup Karting Super Series held recently at Clark International Speedway.

The win steered the 14-year-old Makati Hope Christian School 10th grader to another double title haul, winning both ROK Overall plum over Domingo and ROK Junior crown against Jacob Ang.

More significantly, it was Cabrera’s fifth straight win in the ROK Overall class, setting another record as the first junior karter to achieve the milestone only senior karters have previously recorded.
Jacob Ang checked in third while Wayne Darvin and Jerry Choi  wound up fourth and fifth, respectively.

Domingo clinched the ROK Senior Blaze 100 and ROK Shifter Blaze 100 plums while Ang took the ROK Clubman Blaze 100 title.
