MANILA, Philippines — Filipino-American rookie Jordan Clarkson made his NBA debut for the Los Angeles Lakers Wednesday (Manila time) at Staples Center.
Clarkson, the 46th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft came off the bench and scored eight points and had four rebounds and two assists in 20 minutes.
The 6-foot-5 guard Clarkson made quite an impression in the NBA Summer League where he led the Lakers in scoring and was later signed by the team last August.
The 22-year-old Clarkson went 1-of-4 from the field and scored most of his points at the free throw line.
However, Clarkson’s first NBA regular season game was a loss with the Lakers falling to the Houston Rockets, 90-108.
