ICTSI Tour’s TPC finale at Southlinks

Southlinks, the new golf course in Las Piñas City built to resemble courses in Europe, will be the site of the ICTSI season’s final leg, the Tournament Players’ Championship, that tees off Nov. 11 with a pot of P3.5 million.

The organizing Pilipinas Golf Tournaments, Inc. made the switch from its traditional closing venue, Wack Wack, without giving details on why the fabled East course was ditched.

Antonio Lascuña and Angelo Que are expected to take part in the event, which dangles a champion’s purse of P650,000 as the race for the Order of Merit title also comes to a close.

Clyde Mondilla and Arbold Villacencio, who broke through the past couple of weeks, will have the momentum going into the event.

The duo will be gunning for victories and seal the best finishes of their careers by landing in the Top 5 of the final OOM rankings. Villacencio is in 11th spot, while Mondilla is 18th.

Mondilla triumphed in runaway style in Canlubang two weeks ago, while Villacencio, after ruling the Summit Point leg last month, finished in a second place tie at the tree-lined North course in Laguna. Musong R. Castillo
