‘All In’ charity game set

FORMER National Basketball Association MVP and 11-time All-Star Allen Iverson will lead the PCWorx “All In” Charity Basketball Event set Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

Iverson will be joined by former Atlanta Hawk DerMarr Johnson, who also suited up for the PBA’s Barako Bull in 2012.

The charity project, which will also have a basketball clinic, shoot-around contest, auction and a 3×3 tournament, will be staged for the benefit of Gawad Kalinga.

“I have very fond memories of the Philippines,” said Johnson.  “I’m looking forward to once again interacting with the fans and the friends I made there.”

Johnson and another former NBA star, Eddy Curry, will reinforce Team PCWorx to be handled by two-time PBA grand slam coach Tim Cone.

Also joining them are brothers Kiefer and Thirdy Ravena of Ateneo, Jeron Teng and Almond Vosotros of La Salle, Troy Rosario of National University and Mark Belo of Far Eastern U, as well as NCAA five-peat champion team San Beda’s Javee Mocon and Ola Adeogun and former PBA stars Jerry Codiñera, Renren Ritualo and two-time MVP Willie Miller.

The Iverson-coached squad is made up of, among others,  Grayson Boucher, Larry Williams and Taurian Fontanette.
