Portugal rules GT race

MAYOR Dondon Portugal of Taysan, Batangas, virtually bagged the overall crown recently in the fifth and penultimate leg of the 2014 Yokohama Philippine Grand Touring (GT) Car Championships with a sweep at Batangas Racing Circuit in Rosario, Batangas.

Portugal ruled both the Sprint and the GT Main Races to alsop bag the overall GT300 crown of this event which is part of the 2014 BRC Motorsports Championship season sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP).

Portugal hiked his total to 255 points against GT200 drivers Paolo Mantolino and Carlos Anton, who have 179 and 147 points, respectively.

The sweep also gave him a total of 265 points to virtually secure the GT300 plum.
