MANILA, Philippines-Even with an unblemished slate, the Alaska Aces are still fine-tuning themselves to perfect the system that new coach Alex Compton has implemented.

Point guard JVee Casio said there is still work to be done despite his team leading the PBA Philippine Cup standings with a 4-0 record.

“There are still many things to correct,” Casio said after his team escaped the San Miguel Beermen with 66-63 win at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum Wednesday evening. “We are slowly getting into the new system that Coach Alex has.”

Casio, though, said that it’s not a totally new system but one which still has remnants from their old one.

“It’s not important who scores, anyone can deliver for us,” Casio said. “We want early opportunities and we want to be patient in the offense.”

“Always have discipline and honor the game.”
