Defense Sporting and Arms Show stages firearms license caravan

The Association of Firearms and Ammunition Dealers (Afad) has partnered with the Philippine National Police in staging a caravan that will assist gun owners in renewing their firearms licenses during the 2014 Defense Sporting & Arms Show from Nov. 13 to 16 at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong.

Association president Jethro T. Dionisio said they have been assisting the PNP Firearms and Explosives Division (Fed) in reducing the backlog of firearms licenses that are due for renewal through the staging of such caravans.

The PNP-Fed caravan has been reaching out to other areas in Metro Manila for the processing of Licenses to Own and Possess Firearms.

Afad officials are optimistic that the guns show would be a perfect venue for the submission of license applications as thousands of gun enthusiasts are expected to visit the event.

To be held at Building B on the fifth floor of SM Megamall, the four-day gun show will also feature the latest array of firearms, ammunition and shooting paraphernalia.
