Eduardo Coseteng Jr. of Eagle Cement and Zachary David of Formula-E Racing prevailed anew to tighten their hold on the lead of their respective classes in the fifth leg of the 2014 Petron Blaze 100 ROK Cup Karting Super Series recently at Clark International Speedway in Pampanga.
Coseteng Jr., son of champion car racer Jody Coseteng, captured the Mini-ROK Blaze 100 crown while David dominated the Formula Cadet Blaze 100 class in this event sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines.
It was one tough victory for Coseteng, who survived the expected tough encounter with rival and defending Mini-ROK Blaze 100 champion Flynn Jackes of KartMaster Drakar Racing Team and the strong challenge from newcomer Leroux Romain.
Coseteng Jr. used a risky maneuver just 10 meters from the finish to nose out his rivals.
David, on the other hand, controlled the Formula Cadet Blaze 100 race and cruised to the title over Spencer Troy Cortez and Joaquin Garrido.
