GENERAL SANTOS CITY, Philippines—An entourage of at least 300 people that required two Airbus planes and four buses to transport.

“No boxer in history travels like Manny Pacquiao,” said businessman Sid Protacio, a friend of the boxing icon and congressman.

The grand entrance by Pacquiao and his party in Macau, according to some members of his entourage, is simply another demonstration of Pacquiao’s generosity.

It, however, meant extra work for staff at the Venetian Hotel Resort and Casino in Macau who had to process the room registration papers of Pacquiao’s party at a conference hall because of the sheer number of people checking in at the hotel with the boxer in preparation for Pacquiao’s fight with American Chris Algieri.

Mike Koncz, an adviser of Pacquiao, told Inquirer that the number of people that Pacquiao brought with him on Monday, aboard two Airbus A320s of Air Asia, could swell further as more are expected to arrive for the fight.

Upon arrival at the Macau airport, four buses awaited Pacquiao and his entourage to bring them to Venetian.

“That’s how generous Manny Pacquiao is,” said Koncz. Aquiles Z. Zonio, Inquirer Mindanao
