Official weigh-in on Solar

/ 02:26 AM November 22, 2014

SOLAR Sports will feature the official weigh-in on the eve of the WBO welterweight tussle between titlist Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri as part of the network’s all-access coverage of the fight.

Typically, both fighters are weighed with only their underwear on. The fighters and their respective teams use the weigh-ins as a photo-op, as this is usually bundled with a press conference.

But what really happens during weigh ins?

Trash talk. Intimidation. Stare downs. These are a few happenings that can make a weigh-in fill a room with tension. Scuffles are a natural occurrence of weigh-ins, as Pacquiao’s and Cotto’s camp figured in one back in 2009.

Catch the Pacquiao-Algieri weigh-in live on Nov. 22 at 8 a.m., with same day replay at 7 p.m. and a 9 a.m. reply on Nov. 23, on Solar Sports.
