Pacquiao-Algieri undercard: Chinese fighters stay unbeaten

MANILA, Philippines – Chinese fighters remained unbeaten after prevailing over separate opponents in the undercard of the Pacquiao-Algieri title fight Sunday morning at The Venetian in Macau.
Hong Kong’s Rex Tso outpointed Indonesia’s Espinos Sabu, 79-73, 79-73, 78-74, in an eight rounder before Macau’s Kuon Kun Ng also scored a unanimous decision, 57-56, 57-56, 59-54, over Australia’s Stephen Attard in six rounds to conclude the non-televised bouts prior to the WBO welterweight championship between Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri.
Article continues after this advertisementEarlier, Filipino Jerwin Ancajas, a super flyweight contender, opened the day with a third-round knockout over Tanzanian Fadhili Majiha. Ancajas notched his 22nd win, 14 of which via stoppage.
Tso hiked his record to 15-0, with nine knockouts while Ng improved to 6-0, with two knockouts.
The HBO Pay-per-view undercard starting with Jessie Vargas and Antonio DeMarco, who is trained by Pacquiao’s Hall-of-Fame trainer Freddie Roach, for the WBA junior welterweight crown is on-going as of posting time.
