MANILA, Philippines – Talk ‘N Text made 18 3-pointers to thump Barako Bull, 122-106, in a rare provincial game on Sunday in the 2015 PBA Philippine Cup at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan, Laguna.

Jayson Castro unleashed 26 points to lead eight Tropang Texters in double-digit scoring with Jimmy Alapag adding 14 points. Both veteran guards knocked in four triples each.

Coming off a loss to Globalport last Tuesday, Talk ‘N Text vented its ire on Barako Bull, which couldn’t follow up its impressive win four days ago when it pinned Alaska its first defeat.

TNT, which shot close to 51% from the field, waxed hot early and led, 73-48, at the end of the first half where it sank nine triples.

It was a collective effort by the Texters, who had eight players with at least eight points. Ranidel de Ocampo and Larry Fonacier had 13 points apiece. Talk ‘N Text upped its mark to 5-3 while Barako Bull reeled to its sixth loss in eight outings.

Paolo Hubalde paced the Energy, whose two-game winning streak was snapped, with 19 points off the bench.
