ICTSI Sherwood Ladies gets under way
Cyna Rodriguez seeks redemption starting Tuesday when the P750,000 ICTSI Sherwood Hills Ladies Championship tees off at the ravine-laden layout in Trece Martirez, Cavite.
Rodriguez is again fancied to dominate the field with Dottie Ardina giving the tournament a miss to pursue her LPGA dreams overseas.
And the well-built former Philippine Ladies champion hopes to get back on track after her three-tournament winning streak was cut short by Thai Amolkan Phalajivin at Splendido in Tagaytay two months ago.
Article continues after this advertisementJayvie Agojo and Chihiro Ikeda are also in the lean 37-player roster chasing the P150,000 champion’s prize, the biggest to be given in the two-year history of the fledgling tour.
Rodriguez, Agojo and Amolkan will be in the featured group teeing off at 7:40 a.m.
Agojo is due for a win with her first and only triumph coming in the Riviera leg this season.
