MANILA, Philippines — Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao was back to his hometown General Santos City on Monday after his masterful win over Chris Algieri.

The Saranggani lawmaker was given full military honors upon his arrival in General Santos, where he also held a motorcade.

Pacquiao defended his WBO welterweight crown after dominating the erstwhile unbeaten Algieri for 12 rounds on Sunday at The Venetian in Macau.

A megafight with pound-for-pound fighter Floyd Mayweather Jr. could be next for Pacquiao sometime in 2015.
