Uratex Foam scored a come-from-behind 110-106 overtime victory over Kawasaki Marikina Saturday night to earn the right to face Sta. Lucia Land in the second quarterfinal phase of the 4th DELeague Invitational basketball tournament at Marikina Sports Center.
Uratex was trailing at 77-90 with 9:21 left in the game when Von Pambeling led a 24-11 rally to forge overtime at 101-all.
Jack Corpuz, meanwhile, took charge for Uratex in overtime as he scored the go-ahead basket for Uratex. Pambeling scored a game-high 30 points and Corpuz added 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Foam Makers.
Also on Saturday, Supremo Lex Builders-OLFU defeated Philippine National Police, 93-86, and will next face two-time defending champion Hobe-JVC.
Hobe-JVC and Sta. Lucia, however, will have the twice-to-beat advantage against Supremo and Uratex in quarterfinals 2 by virtue of taking the top two posts in Group A.
Last Sunday, Team Mercenary thrashed MBL Selection, 95-69, and FEU-NRMF ousted Cars Unlimited, 85-65.
