Four matches kick off GVL at Ynares

HOPE Christian High School takes on Academy of God’s Children while University of Santo Tomas collides with Escuela de Sophia of Caloocan as the Shakey’s Girls’ Volleyball League Season 12 National Capital Region leg begins today at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Hope Christian and AGC meet at 4 p.m. in Pool A after the 3 p.m. Pool B duel between UST and ESCI.

De La Salle-Zobel takes on Kings’ Montessori at 2 p.m. in another Pool A game while National U and Rizal High School face off at 5 p.m. in Pool B.

The two teams from each side after the single round elimination will advance to the crossover semifinals. The winners clash for top honors and a berth in the League of Champions set Jan. 11.
