Elorde grandson knocks out Indonesian, grabs 17th win
Juan Miguel Elorde knocked out Indonesian Oke Haryanto with just one punch in the first round of their scheduled 10-round featherweight clash at Elorde Sports Center in Parañaque over the weekend.
The grandson of the late boxing great Gabriel “Flash” Elorde unleashed a right straight to the chin of Haryanto just 46 seconds into the opening round.
Among those who witnessed the win was grandmother Laura, Gabriel’s widow.
Article continues after this advertisement“I prepared hard but I was not expecting to finish this fast,” said Elorde, 28, after raising his record to 17 wins (9 KOs) and one loss.
In another match, Giemel Magramo recorded his 12th straight win by outclassing Ruther del Castillo in the sixth round of their 10-round flyweight encounter.
