DANNY Gutierrez came through with 42 points then nipped Willy Princesa in the countback to top Class A while Mario Naval ruled Class B in the Seniors Trimester Birthday Bash and Christmas tournament held at Manila Southwoods’ Masters course recently.
Gutierrez, an 11 handicapper, turned in a gross 75 worth 42 points under the Stableford scoring system to edge Princesa, who also carded a 42 from a gross 77, in the countback in the last nine holes.
Naval also made 42 points from a gross 80, then foiled Nilo San Juan with a lower handicap of 14, to cop the Class B plum in the tournament backed by Megafiber Psyllium Fiber, Goutritis Herbal Supplement, Wilson Sports and Yamaha by Kart Plaza.
San Juan, an 18 handicapper, shot a gross 84.
