Treat, Tsonga triumph but Manila Mavericks lose

Top Filipino netter and world-ranked Treat Huey and partner Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of the Manila Mavericks showed up doubles opponents Rohan Bopanna and Gael Monfils of the Indian Aces, 6-0, in the second day of the New Delhi leg of the International Tennis Premiere League (IPTL).

However, the Mavericks lost to the Aces 15-24, with Daniel Nestor, substituting for the injured Carlos Moya, bowing to Fabrice Santorio, 1-6, while Andy Murray fell, 4-6, against Monfils.

Maria Sharapova also lost to Ana Ivanovic, 3-6, and the duo of Murray and Sharapova likewise failed against Bopanna and Sania Mirza.
