MANILA, Philippines — Floyd Mayweather Jr. should stop using Juan Marquel Marquez’s knockout of Manny Pacquiao in 2012 to taunt the Filipino eight-division world champion.

This message came from the Mexican icon himself. “Floyd should stop posting videos and photos of me knocking out Manny,” Marquez told ESPN Deportes.

“He (Mayweather) should fight him first, prove he is the best not just talk but beat the man considered the best pound-for-pound [fighter] for years, Manny Pacquiao.

“Only then can he post whatever he wants,” Marquez said.

Marquez was trailing on the scorecards and was being pummeled when Pacquiao got careless and rammed into a solid right that knocked him out cold with one second to go in the sixth round.

According to Marquez, he’d rather remember that glorious moment than fight Pacquiao again.
