Tams selection downs Baco five

THE ASSOCIATION of Mindoreños (Tams) selection bested their counterparts from Baco town, 85-71, in an exhibition benefit game last Saturday at Baco gymnasium in Oriental Mindoro.

Former National Labor Relations Commission commissioner Tito Genilo sparkled for the Tams.  Belying his 72 years, Genilo, the Tams captain ball, fired a game-high 48 points, all from three-point territory.

Mayor Rey Marco scored 38 points for Baco.

Genilo was supported by former Philippine Amateur Basketball League player Jun Portosa, Jed Eje, Omac Reyes, Jim Gonzaga and MJ Cardoza.

The event also served as Tams’ Christmas gift-giving activity for over 700 Baco senior citizens, who received groceries, medicine, vitamins and slippers.

Present during Tams’ yearly outreach program were association president and team coach Caloy Eje, vice president James Reyes, engineer Celso Hiwatig, chair of community service and adviser lawyer Ning Centron.
