PRINCESS Superal added the SICC Singapore Junior Invitational crown to her trophy collection, beating local bet Sarah Tan by seven despite a closing two-over 74 at the SICC Sime Course in Singapore late Thursday.

Superal, who stormed to a seven-shot lead despite a quintuple bogey on the par-3 13th in the second round, birdied Nos. 5 and 9 to pull away before slowing down with double bogeys on Nos. 13 and 17 for that 74.

The 16-year-old reigning US Girls’ Junior champion, who also steered Team PH to the Santi Cup crown and dominated the pro ICTSI LPGT Sherwood leg last month, pooled a two-under 214 and beat Tan, who also fumbled with a 74 for a 221 in the centerpiece 16-18 division of the 54-hole tournament.

But while Superal cruised to another win, ICTSI teammate Yuka Saso blew her bid in the 13-15 section, limping with a 79 for a 225 and losing the title to Thai Omkanok Soisuwan, who totaled a 222 after a 73.

Over in Malaysia, Asian Gamer Pauline del Rosario completed Team ICTSI’s romp by dominating the Kids World Golf Championship, closing out with a three-under 69 and beating teammate Sam Martirez by five.

Del Rosario, who sputtered with a 74 in the second round and held on to a one-shot lead over Martirez, gunned down six birdies to negate her three bogeys and frustrate Martirez, who bogeyed two of the last three holes and hobbled with a 73.

Del Rosario wound up with a 54-hole aggregate of five-under 211 to claim the 15-18 crown with Martirez finishing second at 216 and Korean Kim Jee Hyoun limping with a 74 for a 223 for third.
