MANILA, Philippines — Hapee broke loose in the second half to beat Cafe France, 70-55, and maintain its solo lead in the 2015 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup Monday at the Marikina Sports Complex.

Ray Parks, the two-time UAAP MVP, led the way for the Fresh Fighters with a game-high 20 points.

Garvo Lanete tallied 14 for Hapee, which hiked its league-best record to 7-0.

Hapee head coach Ronnie Magsanoc praised his team’s defense that only allowed 19 points in the second half.

The Fresh Fighters had to dig deep in the second half with the Bakers giving them a stiff challenge especially in the first two quarters where they even held a 36-35 edge.

Fil-American Maverick Ahanmisi paced Cafe France, which absorbed just its second loss in seven starts.
