PAUL Sang and Bing Lapus clinched overall low gross and low net crowns, respectively, in the Manila Southwoods’ Chairman’s Charity Cup at Southwoods in Carmona, Cavite recently.
Sang, a 2-handicapper, carded a one-over par 73 to pocket the overall low gross title while Lapus, a 17-handicapper, fired a four-over 76 for the overall net plum at 59 in the 18-hole tournament held in honor of club chair Bob Sobrepeña.
Theody Pascual shot a gross 74 for a net 69 worth 39 points under the Modified Stableford scoring system as he nipped Danny Samaniego, who had 38 points from a gross 81, for the Division I crown.
Rusty Bayani took the Division 2 crown with 43 points from a gross 79 while Christian Calso and Harry Gonzalez fired 40 and 36 points from grosses of 87 and 102 to annex the Division 3 and 4 titles, respectively.
Other winners were Mentz Deguito (Senior division I), Bernie Bernardo (Senior division II), Yeon Hee Pak (Ladies I), Marilyn Ty (Ladies II) and Toto Pelor (Guest division).
