The Blu Boys’ second-place finish to Japan in the recent Asian Men’s Softball Championship in Singapore and subsequent qualification to the 2015 World Championships mean more hard work for the Philippine squad.
Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (Asaphil) president Jean Henri Lhuillier expressed satisfaction with the performance of his boys but admitted men’s softball remains a work in progress
“We still have a lot of work to do to be able to beat Japan but it’s good to know we still reign supreme in Southeast Asia (SEA),” said Lhuillier. “Our SEA neighbors are getting more competitive and we needed our best to advance in the semifinals against Indonesia.”
The Blu Boys will resume training early next year.
