Nakamura, the top player in the US ahead of So, the Philippines’ former Board 1 player in the Chess Olympiad, won using the 5/1 time control, 6.5-2.5; the 1/1 time control, 10.5-4.5; and settled for a 4.5-4.5 tie in the 3/1 time control.
