GRANDMASTER Wesley So yielded to fellow GM Hiraku Nakamura, 11.5 to 21.5, in their blitz death match Sunday in the United States. Nakamura, the top player in the US ahead of So, the Philippines’ former Board 1 player in the Chess Olympiad, won using the 5/1 time control, 6.5-2.5; the 1/1 time control, 10.5-4.5; and settled for a 4.5-4.5 tie in the 3/1 time control.
