SAN BEDA came out strong in the second half and blanked College of St. Benilde, 3-0, yesterday to move on the threshold of a fourth straight title in the 90th NCAA football competition at Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Jay-R Sandoval scored on a stunning strike in the 53rd minute to open the floodgates for the Red Booters, who posted their 10th straight victory.
Miguel Caindec and Jay Soberano also found the back of the net for San Beda, which could clinch the title outright if it prevails against Lyceum and Arellano in its last two games.
In the other match, Lyceum stunned two-time finalist Arellano, 5-1, to stay within striking distance of the Red Booters.
