MANILA, Philippines — The PBA fined six players and a coach after a highly-physical Game 2 of the 2015 PBA Philippine Cup Finals between the San Miguel Beermen and Alaska Aces.

The league slapped a total of P15,600 fine against Alaska forward Calvin Abueva. Abueva was meted a P10,000 fine after hitting San Miguel Beer’s Arwind Santos on the head with an elbow that was a non-call. Upon review, the PBA upgraded it to a flagrant foul 1 after Santos was left bloodied after the play.

The 6-foot-2 Abueva was also fined P3,000 for flopping, P1,600 for second motion in a play involving Beermen guard Chris Ross and an additional P1,000 for trash-talking with Santos.

Santos likewise was penalized with a P1,000 fine for the same reason.

Beermen swingman Ronald Tubid was also fined P10,000 for his flagrant foul 1 against Abueva and P3,000 for flopping.

Alaska’s sharpshooting veteran Dondon Hontiveros and San Miguel rookie David Semerad were both slapped with P5,000 each for their double foul, which was upgraded to a flagrant foul 1.

Aces hard-working power forward Vic Manuel was also fined P5,000 for his flagrant foul 1 on Semerad.
